Feeding the Wild Monkeys

Now before you think I've just gone nuts. I want you to take a trip out to the goats with me. First, put on those boots so that you cannot get stepped on, or toes nibbled upon. Then make sure that you have clothes on that you don't mind getting grubby. Are you covered? Ok then we are off to the barn for the morning feeding. Remember now, they have had to be closed up all night so be prepared for . . . . anything.

Ok, step aside because I'm going to open the door now. Look out! Here they come!

You know I'm now laughing my head off. Because I know that I forewarned you. But somehow you still didn't expect they would rush out at you running, jumping, bouncing all over the place even off their moms and you. Parading in circles this way and then that way. Making mad dashes every which way. I did tell you but you still wanted to come see. Hee heee!

They are like this every day. Everytime I come out they are ready to make a mad dash towards me. If I bend they jump up on me. If my hair is down each kid seems to look at each other and say, "Ready?!" And they jump up grab a portion of hair. I try to stop them and they just hang on. Why just yesterday they did this to me again. They all got off except Baby Hope and she kept hanging on until she hung earring style. Ouch! You laugh. But wait until it happens to you. And Friday, my husband was out with me wearing those slickery hiking pants. Oh the kids just loved those. When they figured out how slick they were they just stood up on him and put their front feet into motion just like they were on a treadmill. I just think they loved the sound!

Here, you put the grain over there for those babies and I'll put this one over here for these. Water buckets and hay are taken care of. Ok, now, quick lets head to the gate while they are eating so they dont' try to escape with us.

Shewwee, we made it! I tell you it's really like this everyday! I sigh a big ole burst of air. You look like you could be a little tired and I see that your hair is a little frazzled. Yes, I do this everyday. But you know it has taught me a few things. Adventure can be fun, it is just how you manage it. Be thankful in all things. And, of course, jump for joy! Why not? It just might put a smile on your face!

Well, we are finally done with feeding these crazy babies. Of course, you get to help with the easy part. Next time. .. you get to do the milking. Oh and that is just in a few more hours. I'll see you again about 5:00 pm!

Now you shouldn't be tired now. Aren't you use to gorilla attacks? Hee heee! Either way, you better recharge your batteries cause those little babies will be ready for another whirling round very very soon!
